﷽

allahumma aj`alny fihi mina almutawakkilina `alayka
O Allah: on this day, (please) include me with those who rely upon You,

waj`alny fihi mina alfa’izina ladayka
And include me on this day with those who win with You,

waj`alny fihi mina almuqarrabina ilayka
And include me on this day with those drawn near to You;

biihsanika ya ghaiyata alttalibina
Out of Your beneficence; O the ultimate goal of the seekers.

Amaal Eve 10

(Eve of 10 Ramadan) Twenty units with Surah al-Fatihah once and Surah al-Tawhid thirty times.
Dua after namaz

allahumma al`an qatalata ameeri almu´mineena
O Allah: (please do) withdraw your mercy from the killers of the Commander of the Believers (Ameer al-Mu’mineen Imam Ali)

About the Dua for the 10th Day of Ramadan

The dua for the 10th day of Ramadan asks to be among those who place their trust in Allah, among the successful, and among those brought near to Him. Like each of the thirty daily supplications, it is short enough to memorise, yet it turns the day’s fast into a focused request for one quality the believer needs.

The thirty daily duas of Ramadan are narrated from the Holy Prophet (s) through Ibn Abbas and are recorded in classical Shia prayer manuals, including Mafatih al-Jinan by Shaykh Abbas Qummi. The night prayer shown above belongs to the eve of the 10th, which in the Islamic calendar is the night before the day of fasting.

Significance of the 10th of Ramadan

The 10th of Ramadan is widely marked as the day Hazrat Khadija (s.a.), the first wife of the Holy Prophet (s) and the mother of Bibi Fatima Zahra (s.a.), passed away in Makkah, about three years before the Hijrah.

How to Recite This Dua
