Al Mehdi Center’s online Quran Tafseer course helps adults and older students understand what they recite. In live one-to-one classes on Microsoft Teams, a qualified Shia teacher explains the meaning, background and lessons of each surah in the light of the teachings of the Ahlulbayt (a.s.). Every new student starts with 5 free trial classes.
Tafseer is the explanation of the Holy Quran: what each verse means, why and when it was revealed, and how it applies to our lives. In the Shia tradition, the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.w.) and the Imams of the Ahlulbayt (a.s.) are the primary interpreters of the Quran, and our teachers explain the verses in that light.
This course suits adults who learned to read the Quran as children but never studied its meaning, parents who want to answer their children’s questions, and teens preparing for university who want a strong Islamic foundation. If you cannot yet read Arabic fluently, start with our Quran Reading with Tajweed course or Basic Qaida course.
