The Day of Arafah in Shia Tradition
The Day of Arafah, the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, is one of the greatest days for dua in the Islamic year. Pilgrims gather on the plain of Arafat, and believers everywhere spend the afternoon in supplication and seeking forgiveness. Imam Hussain (a.s.) recited the famous Dua Arafah on this day, and it is also the anniversary of the martyrdom of Hazrat Muslim ibn Aqeel (a.s.) in Kufa.
