In today’s digital age, the ability to provide authentic Islamic education from the comfort of home is a blessing many families seek. Al Mehdi Online Shia School stands at the forefront of this movement, offering a complete online learning experience rooted in Fiqah e Jafria, tailored for Shia Muslim families across the globe.
Learn Quran and Fiqah e Jafria Online
Al Mehdi Online Shia School is not just a Quran learning platform; it is a virtual madrasa that brings together Quranic studies, Ahkaam, Namaz, Wajibaats, and more under the guidance of qualified Shia teachers. The platform is especially beneficial for Shia families living in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and other non-Muslim-majority countries where access to Shia-specific Islamic learning is limited.
Courses Offered:

- Fiqah e Jafria (Shia Jurisprudence): Students learn about daily practices, rulings, and obligations according to the Jafria school of thought.
- Namaz e Jafria with Turbah: Step-by-step practical learning of how to perform Shia prayer correctly, including the use of turbah (clay tablet) in prostration.

How Our Online Shia School Works
Al Mehdi Center has been teaching online since 2012. Every class is live and one-to-one, so the teacher works at your child’s pace rather than a group’s. Classes run on Microsoft Teams, which works on a laptop, tablet or phone, and students can start from age five.
- Book a free trial: fill in the sign-up form or message us on WhatsApp.
- Meet your teacher: we match your child with a qualified male or female Shia teacher at a time that suits your time zone.
- Follow a clear path: from Noorani Qaida to Quran reading with Tajweed, then Namaz, Ahkaam and Fiqah e Jafria.
- Track progress: we collect parent feedback every month and monitor classes for quality.
What Students Learn
Our courses cover Noorani Qaida with Tajweed, Quran reading with Tajweed, and the Fiqah e Jafria Namaz, Ahkaam and Wajibaat course, alongside duas, Islamic history and the lives of the Ahlulbayt (a.s.). Families can also use our free Shia Islamic downloads and interactive books at home.
How We Choose Our Teachers
Every teacher has formal Islamic education and online teaching experience, and passes a CV review, an in-person interview, reference checks and a police background check before a probation period. You can read the full process on our teacher vetting page and our child safety policy.
