As Muharram 2026 approaches, the Tears of Ashura Muharram 2026 London team invites the community to participate in a series of Majalis and commemorative events in London. These gatherings provide an opportunity to remember the tragedy of Karbala, reflect on its timeless lessons, and strengthen our connection with the Ahlul Bayt (A.S.).
Khamsa Majalis Program
The Tears of Ashura Muharram program will begin with five nights of Majalis dedicated to remembering the sacrifices made by Imam Hussain (A.S.), his family, and his loyal companions.

Majlis-e-Shab-e-Ashur
The night before Ashura holds immense significance in Islamic history. It was on this night that Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his companions spent their final hours in worship, prayer, and preparation before facing the army of Yazid.

Ashura is the day on which Imam Hussain (A.S.), along with his family members and companions, attained martyrdom in Karbala. Every year, communities around the world gather to commemorate this sacrifice and renew their commitment to the principles for which Imam Hussain (A.S.) stood.
