Shab-e-Zarbat of Imam Ali (a.s.)
This night marks immense difficulty for the Ahl-e-Bait (a.s.) and all momineen and mominaat. On the evening of 40 Hijrah, as always, Imam Ali (a.s.) had only salt and water for iftar. He then spent the entire night in prayer, with tears flowing from his eyes.
Throughout the night, he kept reciting:
“I have insufficient belongings for the journey, and the journey is too long.”
﷽
اللّهُمّ وَفّرْ فِيهِ حَظّي مِنْ بَرَكَاتِهِ
allahumma wa ffr fihi hazzy min barakatihi
O Allah: on this day, (please) save me a share of its blessings;
وَسَهّلْ سَبِيلِي إِلَى خَيْرَاتِهِ،
wa sahhl sabili ila khayratihi
And make easy my way to the obtainment of its goodness;
وَلا تَحْرِمْنِي قَبُولَ حَسَنَاتِهِ،
wa la tahrimny qabula hasanatihi
And do not deprive me of Your approval of the good deeds (that I do on this day);
يَا هَادِياً إِلَى الحَقّ المُبِينِ.
ya hadiyan ila alhaqq almubini
O He Who guides to the evident truth.
Amaal 19th Eve
(Eve of 19 Ramadan)Pray a 50 Rak-a’t Salaat, In every Rak-a’t after the recitation of Soorah Al Faatih’ah, recite Soorah Al Zilzaal.
Dua after namaz
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
يَا عَلِيُّ يَا عَظِيمُ
يَا غَفُورُ يَا رَحِيمُ
أَنْتَ الرَّبُّ الْعَظِيمُ
الَّذِي لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ
وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ
وَهذَا شَهْرٌ عَظَّمْتَهُ وَكَرَّمْتَهُ
وَشَرَّفْتَهُ وَفَضَّلْتَهُ عَلَى الشُّهُورِ،
وَهُوَ الشَّهْرُ الَّذِي فَرَضْتَ صِيَامَهُ عَلَيَّ،
وَهُوَ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنَ
هُدَىً لِلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الْهُدَى وَالْفُرْقَانِ
وَجَعَلْتَ فِيهِ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ
وَجَعَلْتَهَا خَيْراً مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
فَيَا ذَا الْمَنِّ وَلا يُمَنُّ عَلَيْكَ
مُنَّ عَلَيَّ بِفَكَاكِ رَقَبَتِي مِنَ النَّارِ فِي مَنْ تَمُنُّ عَلَيْهِ
وَأَدْخِلْنِي الْجَنَّةَ
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
اللّهُمّ الْعَنْ قَتَلَةَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
