March 29, 2025Namaz-e-Eid-ul-Fitr: Full Method with Arabic Surahs (According to Fiqh-e-Jafria – Shia Islam)

Ahkaam (Rules) of Namaz-e-Eid-ul-Fitr
Wajib or Mustahab: The Eid prayer was initially wajib during the time of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). However, in the absence of an infallible Imam (A.S), it is considered Mustahab (recommended).
Time of Prayer: It is performed after sunrise but before noon (Zawal) on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
No Adhan or Iqamah: There is no Adhan or Iqamah for the Eid prayer. Instead, before starting, it is recommended to say “As-Salat” three times.
Two Rak’ats: The Eid prayer consists of two rak’ats, with specific additional Takbeerat (Allahu Akbar).
Congregational vs. Individual: While it is highly recommended to be performed in Jama’at (congregation), it can also be prayed individually.
Khutbah (Sermon): Unlike Jumu’ah prayers, the Khutbah (sermon) of Eid is delivered after the prayer, not before.
Ghusl (Purification Bath): Performing Ghusl (ritual bath) before the prayer is recommended.
Zakat-ul-Fitr: It is wajib to pay Zakat-ul-Fitr before performing the Eid prayer.
